The Self guided tours are just that—you are free to travel at your own pace. Pick up your bike Monday morning, follow the maps and directions each day, and have the vacation of a lifetime as you discover the gentle English countryside.  You will be expected to navigate (we’ll teach you-it’s easy!) and handle small problems, such as flats, on your own.  On-call mechanical support is available each day for any unlikely problems beyond your ability.

On our Guided tours, we will transport all your luggage (and you, if you’re sagging!) from inn to inn, as well as provide enroute support, resupply, guidance and assistance, etc, each day.

Discovery Cycle Tours:  I created Discovery CycleTours as a way for people to combine the joy of travel with the benefit of staying fit in an environmentally friendly way.  With extensive cycling experience in Europe and North America, I believe East Anglia, England is the finest place on the planet to ride.  The terrain is relatively flat (undulating, say the locals) and the summers are cool.  There is a vast network of paved, narrow, nearly deserted roads and tracks.  They speak our language.  Inns and pubs abound for rest and refreshment.  Lastly, English drivers are exceptionally friendly.  Expect them to pull over for you on those rare occasions when you meet a car going the opposite direction down a one lane road.  Your vacation with Discovery CycleTours will be one of your most enjoyable travel experiences.
